At Gateway Baptist Church, we truly believe that “children are an heritage of the LORD”. (Psalms 127:3)  Each child is a precious gift from God to their families.  Our church is here to help children and their families in any way that we can.  We offer:

Children’s Sunday School (Sunday 10:00 A.M.) All of our children’s workers have NT Working with Children’s card.

On Sunday morning the 5th of February, we begin 2 classes with new studies.

Ages 6 and under will begin a study of the Life of Paul

Ages 7 and up will begin a series entitled “Legendary Faith: The Adventures of Growing Christians”.  We will take a look at the exciting adventure of growing in Christ and how we can develop the needed habits to continue this adventure for a lifetime.

Children’s Church: Ages 4 and under (Sunday 11:15 A.M.)

After the song service, all children 4 and under are welcome to attend our children’s church service.  It is a time of Bible songs and a lesson geared towards their age group.  This has been a great avenue to transition children into sitting in a complete church service.

Kids Club

Once a year, we have a 5 day vacation Bible school.  It is a time of games, snacks, songs, and Bible lessons.  Each year, we have our Kids Club during the June school holidays.    Unfortunately, we will not be able to host a Kids Club for the June School Holidays in 2011.  Our co-ordinator has to have unexpected knee surgery.  We look forward to seeing you next year!

Ministry Opportunities

Not only does Gateway welcome children in all our service but we also encourage them to serve in our services.  All our ushering is done by the boys of the church.  Many offertories are played by children in our church.  As we grow, there will be many more opportunities for the children of the church to actively serve God.
